I have Turnigy 9ch radio and buy turnigy module and receivers when they were on site can someone tell me to they work or is there a problem with them as they have been taken off the site before i open them and use them as there is nothing about Turnigy module and receivers any where i have noticed and Hobby City dont responsr to emails i send.

$8 lithium battery conversion is at ***********rcmodelreviews****/tendollarbattery.shtml

Hi Stephan, this transmiter is prepared for 12 V (8 x 1,5V)AA size batery. I use 3x 3,6 Li-on as standard and OK.

How many cell must us take, two or three? what's dimension?

How about a pointer to this Mod as I would like to try this. Thanks

Check out the article at RCModelReviews for information on how to fit a 2400mAH lithium battery to your 9X for just $8. Gives up to eight hours flying time from a single charge and is way-cheaper than NiMH or LiPo battery options.

I think lots of people are hoping for this, but I wouldn't buy it assuming that will happen. I've pulled apart a few cheaper units which have used program-once CPU's, so once they're programming, nothing can change them.

The Exponential / Dual Rates clash *can this be fixed by manufacturer or can the software be upgraded and supplied FIX to existing customers?

I'm going to start a Q&A section over at RCModelReviews**** where I will be available to answer any questions folks might have on the FlySky 9X. It should be up in a day or two.

There's nothing fundamentally wrong with the Turnigy module and Turnigy/HK receivers - they have good range, they're cheap and they work well. Some people want compatibility with the equipment they already have (FASST, DSM2 etc) so they replace the module in the radio. Also, some people want failsafe functions which the Turnigy system doesn't support.

I just bought this system and had been using Futaba t6xa. There are more channels availble for more functions, program is simpler than with the Futaba, 8 Model memory, more flexibility. When you first power it on, all switches up!!!

Yes but is there anything wrong with the stock Turnigy system & the stock Turnigy Module? I will be transitioning over from a Futaba #6EXA 72MHZ radio so will I notice much different with the Turnigy function wise?

With Jeti Duplex you also get a great telemetry system display when reflashing the tx with ER9x firmware.

1st of all, most pilots already use their "favorite" system some days and want to keep this. I personally use Jeti Duplex for outdoor and $pektrum DSM2 for indoor, so I replaced the Turnigy modules with these TX modules.

I don't understand why you guys are buying Modules, it says it comes with a Turnigy RF9X-V2 module so why are you buying another one ??

The range with the FrSky module is amazing. It's around 1.5 - 2 KM right out of the box. If you use the FrSky patch antenna sold here on Hobby King it'll push the range out to about 4.5KM! For FPV you want to stay away from the $pektrum gear and go FrSky for 2.4GHz.

Most of those responses were about the original RF gear. With FrSky from what I've gathered the range should be at least as good as the $pektrum gear, likely better. Another vote for the custom firmware also

I don't know which one is better but Turnigy 9x with FrSky module and Rx range is about 2Kms which is enough for FPV ,

It will definitely be worse than an official systems like JR, $pektrum or futaba. The servos do get a little twitchy so no good for extreme range flights.
